Hello all,

Okay well im on with creating my site but i've decided i need to have the main header picture, navigation bar, log in, and a few other thing's on every page. I was wondering how i can mate it so these are on each page withount typeing the code into evey html document i create. Somone told me that the content will be change but eveything else will remain the same.

any help will be great guys

No, it's not.

That's the proper way to do it. If I mention the word "frame" in a community of webmasters, I'm likely to be shot, but frames would probably be good for what you want to do. I'm sure everybody here can think of a hundred reasons not to use frames, but they can be good for more simpler sites.

Just insert>frame in dreamweaver.

neah i dont want frames lol

I want it so that i can have the main banner and the navigation on each site withount having to have copy and paste the code onto each html

there is a way with php but i dunno it

I think (and my php knowledge is very minimal), its something like this...

* code your include and save it with a .inc extension (eg navbar.inc)

* Where you want it to appear in your HTMl, write
PHP Code:
<php include 'navbar.inc'?> 
I think thats what it is, but like I said, my PHP skills are exceptionally basic. I used this method for a site, hence it's probably the ony bit of PHP I actually know!

Apologies if its not correct and I've just wasted ten minutes of your day!
