Alright I have two problems on a site I'm building. The first has to do with spacing.
http://aeuzent.cjb.cc/awdcr.html

There is no problem in IE but in Firefox there is a space of about 50px between the beginning of the green box and the top of the page, it fills with the background color. I can't figure out how to fix this. I've been fighting with it for a while.

Next is text formatting. I stuck an article on Petter Jennings in there as filler. The first section is where I try to format it with CSS, nothing happens. The one that follows is how I'd like it to look but it uses a table.

hi,

the answer for the second question first:

try this: <div style="text-align:center"><p style="width:750px">...</p></div>

for the first one:

give h1, in your case #title, no margin-top.

like this #title{margin-top:0;...}

The only thing that produced a response was the <p style="width:750px"> but it's still stuck to the right of the page.

Ok that's crazy. I stuck a <br /> in before the title and the problem cleared right up.

Second problem has to do with centering an enture section, that wont center.

body { text-align: center;}

-or-

in your body tag:
<body style="text-align: center">

paste style="text-align: center" anywhere inside the <body> tag

Are you using a table with this? If so then try:

<table align="center">

Nevermind the last post, try this as it should work:

<div align=" center" >

In your html code where it says "<div id="body">"

Replace with:

<div id="body" align="center">
