I've got an image map on myspace that only works in Firefox right now because I had to use the wrong syntax. I want the map to work in both Firefox and IE.

The problem is, the correct syntax uses the "#" symbol. Myspace for some reason deletes the "#" symbol and puts ".." in it's place. Without using that symbol, the code fails to work in IE.

I don't know what to do.

Half done site can be found here:

As you can see I've removed the "#" symbol from the syntax in the image's call for the map (or maps rather). This still functions in Firefox, but confuses IE.

It looks like you got it working in both IE and Firefox. Can you please share the fix that you used? I'm experiencing the same problem on my MySpace page:

(works in Firefox, no luck in IE)

Thanks townbaby!

So it turns out that MySpace doesn't allow imagemapping, that's why it only works in Firefox. If anyone has a similiar problem, the only way around this is to slice the image and use divs.
