LO ALL
I have a query for you helpful lot!
I have a site, and it uses iFrames. The site has 3 themes/layouts. On each theme/layout - there is an iframe which holds the content of the site - which is the same on all 3 themes. The thing is, I want to add lots more themes in the future - and to have to edit 3 of the same page to sync the content up is annoying. Yet, each content page needs to have a background that mixes with it's theme. So, what I've got is three folders, 'I', 'II' and 'III' which hold all the same pages, just with different backgrounds.

So here's my question: Is there a way of writing all the content text on one .HTML page, and having it automatically synchronise each theme's content page without me having to edit all of them individually? If not - this is fine - it's just getting annoying having to write the same information 3 times, hehe. Any help is greatly appreciated! THANKS

Do you have access to php on your server? If so put the content into one file and then use the include function to use it in all of the variations. Go one step further by changing the apearance with different style sheets and you'll see that things become more manageable. I only mentioned php because it's the most common. other languages like asp and cold fusion have similar functions.

The include functions are very easy and are such a time saver when you need to update items that are sitewide. I will always put navigation, advertising, rotating content, etc into an include. When you need to add a new section to your site you simply modify the one navigation file and the entire site is done.
