Not a clue. the clairvoyancy doesn't appear to be working.

How about a hint of code or a url so we can see what is happening rather then guess at what it might be.

hi basicaly what i want is a list on one side but i cant seem to get the nextt line to go stright under the previous like above i have to press enter what then give me a big gap between cant show any code as this general question i havea few problem with

with the spacing it sounds like the line break is set up as <p>1</p><p>2</p> rather than 1<br>2<br>3<br> just use the code option rather than design to check it out

try pressing Shift + enter instead of just enter. Dreamweaver will put a <br> line break in instead of a <p> paragraph.

Depends on what you are trying to do..for a webpage, 800 pixels width would cater for people who have low res monitors. Insert a table into your page (CTRL+ALT+T) and set it to 800 width. Then go from there.

Really, you should read a book on web design or something - it's a big subject.

hi thanks yeah i knwo how to design site i jsut havea few problem with the layout espcially as my brouse looks fine then another look wrong and so on so just want to find out if there was a general size that everone used that worked on all brousers
