Hi,

I am trying to create a website using Dreamweaver MX 2004 and I have been browsing the internet and found this website http://home.gmoo.net/pn/. I like the way they have got it layed out and was wondering how they did it because I have been trying to get it to work by make a table and have the graphics as a background image and then using the cells in the table for the text and other stuff but for some reason if I try and change one cell size they all change size etc.

Is there a better way to get this sort of layout.

Hi Madball,
That website can also be created using only CSS and not tables. Why not try using a 3-column layout for the same look?

Just my 2 cents,

Sometimes the best way to learn is to examine the code yourself. Save the site as html and open the page into dreamweaver. DW will show you in design view how it was built.

Hey,

Try to begin with simple tables...for example make the big table first and some cells. Then do it more complicated. Take care with the CSS. You can arrange a lot there. And try the code on that page you like.

ok thanks, I have been trying to do it just using tables but when I move the cells around it makes it look really rubbish, I will just keep messing I might get it to work

Also got another question what does CSS mean and what is it used for?
