Hi,

I am trying to develop a website for Art. The site is to include: forums, art directory, art blogs and articles written by me regarding the work of art.

My question is how should I design the website? Should each page consist of the same header and footer design?

I've tried to look for examples of a site that consists of all these features: art, cooking, sports or what not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The site design should be equal throughout, it is the content that changes. Some people have a slightly different homepage to the rest of the pages, but it still follows the same layout. You can however, use multiple different designs for each page, as it is a art website, however, you must try to keep the designs in similar form.

Dear mrfemale2003 (love the name, BTW),
Art is such a broad term and covers so much - have you decided on a specific 'niche' in the art field or do you plan on having a generalized website on all the aspects of art? Is your art website going to cover paintings, watercolors, drawings and posters, or do you plan on having other types of art such as sculptures? Will it include history of art, or the artists? As soon as I read your post, I envisioned your website with loads of tabs and links to the various aspects within the art field. There is so much you can do with this idea.

Yes, you should be consistent with your web design in the header (masthead) and footer so that as your visitors go from page to page they know that they're on the same website and not taken off somewhere in webspace. I came across an interesting art website that you might enjoy checking out.

I'd like to see your website once you get it online.

Good luck,
DianeD
