Hi, I've just joined and it seems to be the right place to seek for some help.

I have a problem with adjusting pages for different browsers.
www.linuxsite.co.uk
The site looks great on FireFox,
But it's a bit messed up on Opera - the google ads seem to be not in its place. The same thing on Konqueror (Linux) browser.
On Internet Explorer the google ads are not displayed, and the icons are not spread along - they're tight to each other on the top.

As you can see, I tried to make the website to look like a desktop. But I still have some problems if with adjusting it to fit in 800x600 resolution; it looks fine on 1028x768.

I use Dreamweaver.

Thank you for any help!

Denis.

Den,

You're probably not going to like this advice (and I'll probably get lots of flak from other members on this forum) but I think you need to start over....

My advice is that you develop your website on IE (since IE is the browser that is used by close to 90% of the people that will be visiting your website) then make it work on the smaller browsers.

I've found that when I develop a site on IE and use tables (sized to 100%) I can normally port the site to all the other browsers (and all screen sizes) with little or no changes.

I couldn't even get to your site. I get a page error - cannot be found. Oh OH...did you start over?

No, I didn't start over yet... ))
I put it in <>, that's why it didn't open for you...
try again:
www.linuxsite.co.uk

Honestly, I don't really want to start all over again... but there might be no other way...?

While developing the website, I was checking it on my favourite browser - Firefox, and it looked OK, but then I tried others......... and got disappointed.....

I'd love to write this in PHP, but I don't know the PHP language....
