So, im reading my HTML book and trying to do them in notepad as i go...it was talking about "cascading" so i decided to try it...so i put in notepad.....

p {color:red} why wen i do <p>txttxtxtxt</p> it isnt red...am i doing something wrong?

Try it with a space after the colon p {color: red}

If you're putting it within <head>, do you have these tags? <style type="text/css"> </style>

put a semicolon after red.

color:red;
