Is there a way that I can set up a Select within a form, and set it's width to 1px? I'd like to hide it within a table and not take up any room on the page. As it is, the table knows it's width and still considers it there even if the cell is hidden. I'd like for it to truly be hidden.

Is this select going to be selectable?

If not, why not just use a hidden input?

There are quite a few items within the list. I actually select one of the items programmatically with javascript, via other stuff on the page. So I don't want to see the list. I want it to be hidden, but operational. It works now, but I just wish it wasn't taking up real estate on the page. It's hidden, but it still takes up room within the table.

Keep that select hidden and it will not take any real estate on your page. Don't put it in a seperate row.

It's on the same row as other stuff, between two cells. And it is taking up real estate.
So is there a way to adjust the width of the Select box?

The width is as wide as the content.

So there's no way to make it narrower?
No way to force it to be smaller?

try adding: style="width:20px" in your select tag and insert your desired width instead of 20px
