I have created a test page at http://store.diveresource.com/newlayout/bug.htm to illustrate my problem. I have a 3 column design (tableless), and have an issue with Firefox 1.0.7 not rendering the margins correctly (compared to IE6).
Maybe I have an inheritance bug, and Firefox is correct, and IE is wrong, but IE has the look that I want. In any event, I can't find the problem.
The trouble is in the 3 column section which is made up of "left-bar," "center," and "right-bar" tags inside another tag called "content" which has a background image. I want this background image to show through in the margin area of the inside content. In Firefox it looks like the margin is drawn white, and IE is transparent. I have tried setting the background-color to transparent in the "left-bar," "center," and "right-bar" tags, but that did nothing.
I'd appreciate any help on this problem if anybody knows what is going on.
Regards,
Jon
