my first website not using tables. Don't be afraid to tell me it sucks, what i need to improve on and so on. I'm still not sure what typeface i should use for the general text. any ideas?

Dude I would have to say nice work. I like the colors and layout of the webpage. I'm not really seeing any problems off the bat. On your type face your best bet I would say is to just stick with one of the standard fonts like times or arial not sure on there mac/*inx counter part names. Being this a music website your sure to get the pick of the lot of OS's being most people on Windows and most your real music people on macs with your posible *inx person here and there.
