I've finished my basic design for my web page, but now must include the "Text Content" and "where on the pages it will go, in tables, cells, etc. I'd like to make my content as interesting and informative as possible, which leads to more purchases of my product. Can someone give me suggestions on Text Content to use on my site, what is the best message to use, and other things I should add at this time to finalize my website for submission. Thankyou , hong

It depends a lot on what your site is about. What are your products and what kind of image do you want to get across? There's not really any one answer. Could you give us a little more detail about your site and your products?

I usally like to have the content or most of it before I begin to design a site since often the content is what will lead me when creating a layout and choosing colors and fonts.

You can start with something like "Visit the greatest stuff on the net" or "Try out these things, they are all great, cheap & I promise you'll enjoy the trip to my site" or something like this.

Keep it clear and clean. Seperate your text out using paragraphs.. no-one likes to wade through massive blocks of text.

Start out with the very basics. Ask yourself what you are trying to get your visitors to do. Layout a step-by-step plan to get them from the home page to the action page that you want them to get to. What pages inbetween are absolutely necessary to give them the information to take this action?

Using proper content with call to actions requiring responses will get them to the desired outcome, content development should happen quite naturally if we use this approach.

Everything else is just other stuff that may help them decide, if they need help. Give them the info that they need to make the decision, and make it easy to get to. If you stick by this formula, you will have a great and effective web site...

If your web site is going to be used for marketing and sales, then think that way. Don't make the mistake of filling your pages with features of your products. Remember, buyers want to see, not product features but the benefits your product/service has to offer. And, while you are doing this, show them why you are better than your competition.

Success with your content and web site.!!
