Hi, does anyone know the code to put an .mp4 on a webpage and get it to play? (e.g. NOT linking to it)

I have Googled and Googled and Googled and cant find any working code anywhere.

Please help me with this as it is vital to a 'secret' project I'm working on!

Thnak you in advance,
From Miki

The user would need to have the MP4 codec installed.

Yes, of course.

But I was wondering how exactly to get it to play on a webpage instead of linking to it (the same principal as embeding a wmv file in a webpage instead of linking to it).

<embed src="sample.mp4" width="320" height="240"
autoplay="true" controller="true"
pluginspage="http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/">
</embed>

<embed> is pretty universal I think.

Or check here for more detailed way:

You cant play it if you havent the codec installed.

Or are you referring to a machine with the codec already installed?

Neroux - I meant a computer with the codec installed.

Funkdaddu - Thank you! :-)
