I would like to hear what would be the best solution for this.

My employer has asked me to do a shopping cart. But they are not providing pricing. So I was thinking I would do a form like this

http://www.egressglo.com/quote.htm

But now i need to give the user more options per item. Lets say there is Item 1, it comes in red/green/blue, size 43,44,45 etc..

Can I do this with a form or does it have to be a shopping cart?

I just want the results mailed so the customer can get a quote on the pricing.

Thanks

A shopping cart... you are "bying" something
A form... is just a form. You have forms in shopping carts!? You can make a form do whatever you want.

Now... it's the back-end (PHP or ASP) you want to worry about. It should be too complicated tho. Before sending the email, just checked what they selected then send off the right ammount.

For what you're trying to do, my guess is that you need a good form, not a shopping cart since you're not dealing with prices. Here's an interesting idea that you can put in your form for someone making various choices, and depending on what one choice is, it can change for the next choice. Check it out here to see what I mean. There are other things you might want to do with your form, too, so make sure you check out the "Forms" on the left navigation on this website. Just might be what you're looking for.

Hope it helps,

It's not a shopping cart, it's a RFQ (Request for Quotation) or a price quote request, yes?
