AAAARRRRGGGHHHHHHH!
I deleted some (I thought) outdated code and have crashed my website idex page. Mea culpa, ignorance is NOT bliss! Starting it at the top for the sake of continuity, if any kind soul would look at the end of the code, I deleted a short section that did not ***appear*** to have operation tags in it, just ahead of the </HEAD> tag. Thought it was safe, ya-da, ya-da, BIG mistake!

Help? Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'm tearing around looking for a back up file........

It's a really nice website if y'all like dogs!

It's hard to know what you deleted from here obviously, but all those functions are from Dreamweaver and there's a good chance the same code is on most pages of your site. You might be able to grab what you deleted from one of those other pages.

Your script tags look off - the opening <script> tag should be after all the <meta> tags, and there is no closing </script> tag - you'll need to add one before </head>

Thank you, Oberon and VanGogh. I especially think I can compare to other pages to check for missing tags. Either that or I will have to just make a new index page, but that will have to wait awhile <sigh>.
