Hey guys,
I have a marketing company and I have decided to undertake making our website (if you can’t tell I am quite green lol).
Anyway I am trying to get the top of my website to be a solid dark blue and resize to any monitor (i.e. it doesn’t cutoff on a wide monitor or produce a scroll bar on a 800x600 monitor). Maybe this will help.

This is my website (as you can see it isn’t done yet!):
http://www.PurusEnterprises.com

This is what I am trying to emulate:
http://www.projectseven.com/viewer/i...p?demo=maxwell

I want to make the color in my top left logo like his coffee looking thing, as it doesn’t move when you scroll up or down, but aside from that I want to leave my layout alone (as in I don’t want that inner frame he has). I really don’t know anything about html or css; so take it easy on my with the RE:s

Hope that all makes sense, Thanks,
-SuperchargedRS

Actually I am looking to make the top of my website a solid color and for it to not move when people scroll down...

This is my website: http://www.purusenterprises.com

this is what I am kinda trying to emulate:
http://www.projectseven.com/viewer/i...p?demo=maxwell

(but with out my layout) if that makes sense...
so I want my top boarder to be the same color as my square in the top left, and for it not to move when people scroll down.

Thanks,

I hate to appear snide, but if this is your company and you have the time to design and develop a website for it yourself, then I think you may want to look at your sales/production pipeline. Surely your time can be spent more profitably directing the company... Get a lacky to do this for you.

It would be a really good idea to learn this stuff in small exercises, not your own website. When you have a grip on html/css, then it would be time to tackle a site

If you dont want the background to scroll with the window then add the CSS style '{ background: fixed; }' to the applicable rule. Otherwise leave out a 'background' attribute in the style rule and it will scroll by default.

You'll need to load the logo up in an image editor to change its colour. I'd think about reducing its size to a 1/4 of the present size too. Use repitition of the logo to emphasis branding instead of making one huge logo...

Thanks for the help guys.
As fas as my time goes, I have learned everything that has to do w/ my operations, camera work, editing, etc. I will hire out for this website, but when I can do it myself it elminates the BS, so untill then I will be doingthis myself (I can get along fine w/o a website so it is not a huge pain in the arse).

Thanks,
