Hey, I'm new here and was wondering if you could help.

I'm creating a website with a lot of content on it, and I'd like to set up a voting system to vote for this content seperately. So there would be one form below each piece of text.

What I want to do is have a rating system and a web form system, where u can input some text and it would be sent to an email address. Also, if possible, I'd like to make it so that mass votes cannot be made.

This is the layout that I want it to be like:

But I'm pretty stuck on how to code it. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated, thanks.

P.S. I apologise if this can't be done with HTML, as I'm not quite sure what it would be coded in.

You can do it in HTML, but all you will get is a huge number of emails with the individual form results. If you want to control flood voting, or add up the results somehow, you need some kind of serverside scripting ability. Find out what your host supports and go from there. Something like a poll form is quite easy to set up and makes a good project to learn whetever scripting language you choose.

For the main form section, where the user types in whatever, I want that to be individual. Yet I want the voting to just add up and then I'd like to set up a page where all the polls are ranked.

So should I set up the form in HTML and the voting with some sort of serverside scripting ability?

It's a pretty safe bet your host supports PHP then...

You can build a poll yourself with a bit of scripting and some info stored in a file or a database, or if not then hotscripts has a number of poll type scripts that may be what you need:
