I REALLY APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME WITH THIS!!...
E-MAIL PROBLEM (SMTP)

My free host is AWARD SPACE (very good actually: awardspace.com)
my domain is COBRENOBRE.COM and my e-mail is COBRENOBRE@COBRENOBRE.COM (I linked the dns right)

The thing is that awardspace lets me recieve mail (POP) but they dont let me to send e-mail (SMTP), so I found a mail server (POSTCAST SERVER) they all say that is good and all, but postcast sent zero e-mails of mine.
And there is outlook also. How to configure the awardspace POP and the PostCast SMTP in outlook?!!!!!
Its really becoming an very dificult issue for me co'se I have searched the net in forums and tutorials and all for days and I still couldn get it right!!!!

If it isn't smtp I don't think you can do it. I may be wrong but I think that you are stuck with a Web based email account.

An example is Hotmail vs. Yahoo! mail. hotmail does offer SMTP and you can use a local email client to download your email. But I think that Yahoo! mail does not. You must use their Web based system.

If someone else knows any different...?? But I think this is how it goes wildthinker.

Have you asked awardspace? They are going to be your best resource here.

And, A web based email system isn't a bad thing. Sometimes it can be pretty convenient.

but im not stucked with a web mail based acount (only if the post cast server works like that) Becose I have my e-mail domain (cobrenobre@cobrenobre.com)
that is linked with my free server (awardspace). The thing is that awardspace only gives me the POP (mail.cobrenobre.com) and in order to SEND e-mail I chosed Postcast (in outlook i put LOCALHOST in the SMTP field). Do you understand what is happening?

You said that a web based email system isn't a bad thing, and I agree with you but there's something I dont know about that: can I have a web mail system that offers SMTP like hotmail and use my paid domain (COBRENOBRE@COBRENOBRE.COM) ? Co'se I cant use a hotmail name (for exemple: cobrenobre@hotmail.com) as my company's mail.

Hosts often do not provide SMTP servers. Cant you use your ISP's?

It still seems that either Postcast or Awardspace is going to be able to give you the answer.

If I signed up with Postcast, I would expect them to help me get it set up!

I am guessing you have checked out this setup page.

If this doesn't get it done try their Forum.

Not to direct you away from here wildthinker, but this is a proprietary problem. They are going to be your best source..

putting LOCALHOSt in the SMTP field means your are trying to send through you own machine.
An educated guess tells me you probably won't have a SMTP server installed.

How do you know your ISP? Who supplies your internet connection? That's your ISP
