I need an OS X app that will convert video formats.
I have a video that is in avi and mp4 format, and it plays fine in Safari and Opera on Mac, but wont play at all in IE or firefox on PC.
I have another video in mpg format, and it plays in all browsers on all platforms.
I have MPEG Streamclip, but it wont convert to mpg (the option is greyed out)
I also have ffmpegX and the appropriate binaries, but when I convert to mpg, the file will not open on any player, says unrecognized file type.
So does anyone have a solution to convert this avi or mp4 file into a format that will play on the web regardless of OS or browser?
