Can you help, please.
I have created a page using tables. I need to have an image slide horizontally in to a cell at the top of the page.
Any idea what would be the best method to use.
I remember being told never put a layer inside a table cell.

Not sure who told you not to put a div inside a table, but it can be okay. A lot depends on what you are trying to do.

Actually most of us prefer to use the div and not use the table at all anymore But, of course that is another subject.

Creating sliding divs requires a lot of javascipt. Not used to much anymore. With flash around JavaScript manipulation of layers is old hat.

Something I think I would suggest for someone who doesn't have Flash would be to create an animated gif that simulates the same actions as the "layer in motion."

If you need for the layer to move, do you have DreamWeaver. It can write the code for you. With code bloat of course, but it will get it done.
