hi can anyone help sumone asked me how to validate a web page first of all what is this as ive never heard of it and second of all how do oyu do this useing dreamweaver 8

Validating you page just means checking that you've coded it properly - you can validate the css and the html. I validate mine using some developer tools that you can download for firefox that use the following links.

Dreamweaver has validation built in too. Clicking the 2nd icon to the right of the title field, where you can enter in a title for your page, let's you do that. Based upon what you'll click it will validate either your current document, entire local site or just a selection of files.
