Targeting a link to open in a <DIV> box ?

Hey everyone! I know i've been asking a lot of questions lately, thank you to all who have helped me! You're life savers!
However, My new dilema is...
I want to target the links on my navigation to open up inside of the main "content area" on the page.. here is the site. http://www.geocities.com/rev_groove/index.htm
Now, I've done targeting before. With Iframes. But my site doesn't have any so.... what the heck do I do?
Any suggestions, input, theories, are extremely appreciated.

btw, nive design, it's very elegant
I don't think this can be done, it would be the same thing as an iframe, so why not just use one?
My suggestion would be to write your header and sidebar into it's own php document, then call them from each page with an include.

Unless your site is big enough to substantiate the use of a database. you are better off with hard coded html pages. Is Search Engine placement desired? If so, it always the best way to go. If not, it still may be the best way to go.
Sometimes it is percieved that pages will download faster if we use frames, Iframes, or some other file includes. This isn't true. If all the pages on your site are using the same images for logo, navigation, etc. once they are downloaded they are in the user's browser cache.
Loading info into your pages doesn't give you any real benefits. Code seperate page for each url is my suggestion.
If there is a reason that we are not aware of that you need to use iFrames or something similar let us know. But to do it just because you can isn't a good reason or the best way..

The reason I suggest includes, is because when you want to change one thing in the header or sidebars, you don't have to do it in every single file. This is usually the reason one would use frames, but with php, it's better for search engines, because they see the page as one, and not two or three. Like, even thought I know I wrote my header, sidebar, and index in three seperate files, when i run it through w3c.ord, it gives me the reults for one page. The php tells it that they are all one page. This way, a week or month down the road when you want to add a new link on the sidebar, you open up "sidebar.php", add the link, and presto, you're done. If you code the header and sidebars into every single page, you would have to add the link in every single page.

yes indeed, I agree with Tammy with this as well. I should have clarified my statement a little better. Using includes is a great way to manage navigation, copyright and other reoccurring elements on pages.
What I was specifically reffering to is the unique copy/content on each page
I have run into quite a few sites recently where anything from includes to AJAX has been used to populate an entire site's content.
I have also seen iFrames used as navigation holder. Not the way to go. (Where are these designers coming up with this stuff?) As Tammy said, an include is a great way to handle these reoccurring elements.
If you are using a Windows server you can actually do this without php, asp or Cold Fusion. Through ISS you can provide incudes simply by naming your files with the .shtml.shtm file extension and using the ISS include..
If your site isn't on windows, the greater chance is that php is available as she mentioned.

If you take a look at the URL posted, it's on geocities. So any discussion on includes (SSI, PHP or ASP) is pretty much superfluous, as none of those are likely to be available.
If search engine results are of any concern, MOVE THE SITE!!
Other than that;
seperate pages are recommended, with iframes coming a poor second.

So I'm thinking I'll go ahead and do the Iframes like I did on another site.. but... i'm so completely lost as to how to use them with all these frames/tables..... take a look here.

I onley inserted the iframe you wanted, not advisable though..
It will use home.html as begin page.

And i onley looked at the script around the place where you had the div that i changed to an iframe, and i advise to "clean" the script.
