hey guys! Go to www.monex.webhop.net!

Monex is an Internet game website I made with my friends using HTML, PHP, Javascript, and MySQL. However, the only problem I found so far is that after you get into a game and go to Stockmarket for displaying a Stock List, my friends found out that all the buttons are not lined properly when using firefox but has no problem at all using IE.

I used a big table to contain all these information as well as those buttons and each button belongs to a separate form. I'm really not sure what is the cause of this displaying problem. Anyone can give suggestions?

btw Any comments on my site would be appreciated!

thanks for replying!

its not the login button i was talking about,
its the "buy" and "sell" buttons in "Stockmarket" inside the game.

can you go into the game and go to "Stockmarket" and check..

The thing is, Firefox is getting it RIGHT, it's IE that is getting it WRONG - as usual.

Are you serious? Both my friends and myself tested, IE displaying the "Stock List" on my site doesnt have any problem, but occurs using FireFox. Hmm.. its getting weirder and weirder now... anyway, anyone have any suggestion of why it is so or what is causing it?

Yes, I'm serious. IE is not standards compliant and has all kinds of goofy bugs because MS wants to do CSS THEIR way. Firefox gets it right, IE gets it wrong.

If you don't believe me.. take a gander at this list of bugs:

Yeah, its frustrating that we as web developers have to make allowances for MS errors. but since 90% of people use IE, we have no choice!

when you're writing a site, always check periodically to make sure things look right in Firefox AND IE.
