Looking to change server directories

Hey,

I'm not sure what coding this involves.. so i'm putting it in the HTML forum.

I want to change the appearance of standard directories on servers. Basically... i'm setting up an intranet at a company who will be hosting it on their own server. When they need to post files promptly, i want them to just drop them into the folder on the server... giving it the look of something like this: www.foothillsbaptist.org/channel3/images/

The only thing is.. this default appearance isn't very appealing. I was wondering if it's possible to change the way it looks?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Only by writing code to parse the folder and display the files in the style you want

Is that difficult? Or is it something commonly done and easily done?

Also... i don't suppose you have any way of giving me guidance on how to research more about this?

Thanks for your help.

It's not too difficult for a programmer, The code will depend on what server side code the server supports.

That's your first bit of research

You would best be accomodated by looking for File Manager scripts that you can download at script sites such as www.hotscripts.com

There are a bunch for free written in languages such as php and asp.
