Inline Frame problem with Firefox 1.0.7

Hi there

My website can viewed using Firefox, but for some reason, version 1.0.7 has issues with Iframes. What happens is that when you roll over a page link (top left), there is a flashing image. If I cut out this scroller code, it works:

<iframe width="130" height="120" src="scroller/scroller_newstic.html" style="margin-left:16px; top:-10px;" SCROLLING="no" FRAMEBORDER="0"></iframe>

Sounds crazy, try it yourself:

Any ideas?

1.07 is REALLY old in the scheme of FF updates. Most people savvy enough to use FF are going to be using an updated version.

I don't recall reading about any specific Gecko bug like this, and it's not on the list of bugs that I have referenced. Have to research this one.

I think your answer is here: http://www.quirksmode.org/bugreports...lla/index.html

Scroll down to "z-index/scrollbar flickering" - I'd be willing to bet it's the same problem.

Thanks LadynRed. I had a look at the Quirksmode page on z-index/scrollbar flickering. I tried inserting overflow:hidden to various DIV's (in desperation!)

Nothing worked until I removed the bold attribute from the a:hover tag. After that, everything fine????? Also removing the scroller code completely is another way to stop this issue.

What a weird fault. I do agree with you that this version of FF is ancient, but this issue was picked up by a webmaster-talk contributor. My parents still use Win98 with a 800 x 600 screen resolution!
