Hi,

I added Xhtml Friends Network, or XFN, to some of my blogs now, but I have one big, unaswered question:

At the current time; are there any point at all in adding XFN relationship data to a Website?

If you do not know anything about XFN; have a look at their Website and Getting Started quick guide.

OK: are there any point what so ever in adding XFN relationships between Websites?

I looked through the site a bit and not really sure what would make this better or really even different from maintaing a blogroll. I didn't spend a lot of time looking though so maybe I'm just missing it.

I guess the idea is to be able to list one link as your good friend and another as somone you only just met. Not really sure why that would matter so much.

It's like they thought of an idea and now are trying to crowbar some practicality into it. It doesn't seem to have any significant point to it besides telling a bot who you have met and who you fancy.

And somehow I don't think a bot really care.
