Hi all, I am new to this group and need some help if at all possible. I am a PC person who is working on my Master's degree. I have an assignment where I am using Dreamweaver to create a website. (I have worked with FrontPage quite a lot so I do have "some" experience) My task is to embed a video in the page. It seems quite easy and I felt like I did it correctly, however, my video does not show up. The player shows up but not the video. Here is a little history and more info: I began working on this early on (thinking I would get the task in early, but now I am pressed due to road blocks. The video is a wmv file and of course should show up with Windows Media Player. While using my laptop from work prior to the middle of June, the video would show up. I had Windows Media Player 9.0. In the meantime I receive a new laptop from work that now has WMPlayer version 10. Now the video does not show up. I was going to send the files via zip, but I exceed the limit, so I will send the code that shows up for the embedded video. I sure hope someone can help me. I registered at another site and had many people to read my post but no one replied. If I need to post this webpage on the net I can do so as I have some websites that I can link it to if that will help. Please let me know what I need to do in order for someone to help. I will attach the short code that DW created once I embedded the video.

It really would be better if we could see the whole thing as a web page. Just showing us the <embed> really isn't enough.

BTW, the embed for active content is going to be a problem because of EOLAS lawsuit that MS lost. With your new laptop that could very well be a problem.

This code works for me on IE & FF:

Quote:
<embed src="the path here" loop="true" width="610" height="402" autostart="true" controls="true"></embed>
