White space with a Nano Save

I have this really wierd problem with Nano. It creates white space upon saving pages. I am not sure if other editors do this as I most always use Nano. Yesterday, I was saving config.php At the end of the script, after ?> I would find <p>nb&s</p> I deleted it and saved it again and the blank space would reappear. Often, some of my HTML link pages will get litterally thousands of blank spaces by saving the page. Any ideas?

What's "Nano"?

The editor for PHPBB can toggle between bb code and allowed html and will pad the html output with an instance of <p>nb&s</p> for each html tag in the response code. It's a bug and can easily be fixed by modding the editor files.

If Nano is a similar scenario, the solution lies in tracking down the code snippet responsible for padding output with empty p tags and modding the conditional statement that returns true to action that padding.

Thanks for your response. Nano is an off the shelf WYSIWYG editor that "Best Buy" or any of the rest of the large stores have. I think I am just going to get another editor, but I really like working with Nano.
