I am trying to put sound into my website. I am being careful and selective with its use. The problem I am experiencing is that the sound files are in different file formats. When other views of the webiste it the sound parts, it causes different players to play the sound (whatever is bound to the file extension on their version of windows).

How can I get around this problem ? I dont' want windows popping open with differerent players, etc.

Tired of messing with this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do as Microsoft. if you cant make them all use the same thing, force them too use your player... Put your mp3's into a flash player. Here's one that pulls your files from xml, so you dont actually need to edit the flash itself...
