im making this module in php with mysql so people of a website can publish some articles. im having a problem so far that it seems mysql doesnt respect the breaklines you write at the textbox.

whats a way i can have this breaklines? do i have to change the type of the database field? i have it as text for the moment. should it be blob or longtext?

I would try changing the database field as you said then if it dont work come back and post the code so we can take a look

HTML ignores newlines etc

you have to convert them to <br> on displaying them PHP: nl2br - Manual
