I'm having the same problems with my home page: Grannie Sandie LLC Stress Relief Dolls

I'm clueless! The only consistency I can find is that on widescreens it works fine and on normal screens it doesn't work and is jumbled like yours. I've also tested on both IE and Firefox browsers with the same results!!!

Helpppppppppppp!

Let me know what you have done so far as testing....ie: browser? Screen Resolution? etc...

If you use the design view it is the same as with any WYSIWYG editor and will add tons of excessive code inflating your page. You can either clean it up manually, use a program such as tidyhtml, or do the changes manually if you have another copy of the file.

Jason, many thanks! I have downloaded TidyHTML and will try it later today. But here's the strange part: I have been editing in the design view in Dreamweaver 4.0 for five years now and it only just started deformatting the HTML code starting yesterday. I did nothing different. Can you explain that?

Thanks, Susan

Yips! Jason, I downloaded TidyHTML and it appears to be for the MAC. I am using Windows XP, SP2 (sorry, I forgot to mention this) and I cannot seem to find the same application for the Windows OS. Do you have another source?

Thank you, Susan G.

There are versions of Tidy for the PC, I use it daily.
Clean up your Web pages with HTML TIDY

I don't see the code is 'jumbled' and the page appears to display just fine. The only thing I see is the indenting of the code isn't there. Check your DW settings.. and you really should consider upgrading DW, you're 4 versions behind.

Dear LadynRed, Thank you for your feedback. I checked all the DW preferences and all were in good order. On a hunch, I removed and reinstalled DW, Ver. 4.01 and now everything is working just fine. Just the same, I will investigate the HTML Tidy you included in your post. Thanks again.

Hi StressRelief, If you will go down to the other posts here, you will see that it took a uninstall and a reinstall of Dreamweaver 4.01 to correct the code formatting issue. All is working just fine now.
