is it just me or does the ftp market really stink?

cuteFTP - keeps failing to upload, hangs, drops connection (seemingly randomly)
fireFTP - soooo slow
ws_FTP - lame interface, kinda slow
webshell - also quite slow and laborious

anyone found a better alternative?

I use smartFTP myself, never had a complaint (but then I used to use WS_FTP and never had a complaint with that either!).
