I am trying to set one of these up, its onlygonna be a £1 for 100 pixels,but i;m having a few problems:

I need block counter to tell numbers sold.

I'm not totally sure how to display the ad's on the gid(If I sell any). I need to be able to display it in a web banner.

Also I need a short blurb to appear when the mouse is over a block of pixels

do you mean you are going to re-create teh idea of milliondollarhomepage.com?

maybe just make a table where each cell will be a particular amout of pixels, and sell it as cells..

Yea basically a copy of that, only my coding skills are primitive.

You can't create a counter with HTML, you have to use server side code.

Or Javascript for the pixel hover.

Mind you, your bigger issue isn't building the page...it'll be promoting it. Everyone and their brother seems to be building one of those pieces of crap nowadays and they almost never work.

I say scrap the idea and come up with something...well, original.

Itere are at least 2500 websites similar to milliondollarhomepage and most of them can't sell any pixels even when they cost $ 0.01 per pixel ( $1 block ). You should have PR5 at least to pick up customers.

honestly, i dont think it would be such a great idea to create exactly the same thing as milliondollarhomepage.com... i mean that was a unique, aggressively promoted campaign, hard to do it once again. maybe try using his basis and do something slightly different?
