I am trying to get 100% tables to sit to the right of a float:left div. It works perfect in Firefox, but in IE the 100% tables get bumped to the bottom of the div.

Please look at my example here:

Does anyone know a way to fix this in IE? Ive tried getting it to work all day. I tried using 100% divs, 100 tables, 100% tables in divs, Spans, all with no avail. I dont know if there's a goofy margin:-100 IE fix or something. I would make the tables a fixed size, but once they get bumped under the div they need to stretch to 100%.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Personally I think that you are asking for incompatability issues mixing tables and divs like this. Is there a reason that you are using tables at all? Why not just continue using divs?

With a *quick* look, however, it seems that it may be a border/padding issue. Remember that FF and IE do not have the same automatic renering for these. I would try taking control of these attributes to see if you can get them same look in both browsers.

Actually, I would use divs throughout, but if I was coerced to use the tables this is where I would start with this problem...

Let us know what you find..

Same as ChipJohns, I'd go for divs.
Anyway, it again shows you that IE sucks.. bigtime

You are dealing with IE's broken box model. I vote for dumping the tables altogether.
