In IE the font is a lot bigger then in FF.

I have set in my CSS for the font to be:

Code:
font-size:small;
yet it is still really big.

You might want to try setting a fixed font, but avoid using 'px'.

Use either 'pt' or 'em' to set your font. Try:

font-size: 10pt;

in your CSS. Note: this should really be in the CSS forum.

I wouldn't use pt either, don't handcuff your IE users by not allowing them to scale the text as THEY need to. Use % or em for your text sizes. 100% and 1em = 16pt text. Do the math to get smaller sizes.

em would be the way to go. I do often use %. Avoid fixed px etc.. at all cost.

'pt' have no meaning at all on a computer monitor. It's a holdover from the print world. If you want a fixed measurement I'd go with 'px' and for a relative measurement I'd go with 'em'
