I am using Dreamweaver v6.0 and wish to do a global find and replace in a 6000 page web site. This is OK in itself, but I want to replace one e-mail address with another and retain the functionality of the address ie when you select the address it launches an e-mail. However, when I write into the Replace box of Find and Replace I can only produce plain text ie no link.

Any ideas?

Try searching for the hyperlink code of the mail link itself.

<a href="mailto:email address">email address</a>

Mind you, putting an email address on a webpage like that is bad spammy mojo. You really should look at learning a server-side programming language and using a form-to-email to have people send email to you.
