I am trying to make a very simple site that closely resembles www.ventanger.com
I want my site to be just as simple. Allow users tosumbit information on a form and have it show up like tehy do. if anyone has any ideas where i can get info on how to design this, id really appreciate it. i know a little about html but not enough to write my own site from scratch.

Okay... firstly the site you said ISN'T html... well it is but its also PHP
the site u said uses php to do fromwhat i can c every thing.
it does look like fairly simple php (i dont know much php.) but i am learning and honestly i think u need to too! lol... everyone learn PHP!!! muhahah..

Correct. You'll need a scripting language like PHP, and you'll also need either an understanding of PHP functions for managing a flat file database, or the easier way, MySQL.

It's actually fairly simple to do what they're doing, but if you don't know PHP/MySQL at all, it will be a few days before you're able to understand and duplicate it.

But, that's definitely where you need to start.

this is a very weird site to be so popular if you look threw the forum here you will find another post on the same site and can see the advise given (although it's the same as you see here php and mysql) it's not a hard site to do just start looking at a few tutorials and within a few days you'll have the knowledge to write it yourself.

Maybe you could start of using somethink like phpbb its open source and free. This is easy to use and you can learn php & mysql when you can to modify the script.

Btw, thats a really weird site you have there.

I don't know, may be you want to learn CSS as well on top of HTML.

If you want to find a simple reference site, try google.com. No, I'm not telling you make a site similar to google's. They have got plenty of advance codeing. I'm just asking you to do a google search .
