Can anyone please explain why Internet Explorer ignores my carefully constructed field backgrounds?

I have set them to black #000000 but some of them come up a horrid yellow. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the coding:

<td width="29%" align="left" valign="top"><input name="First name" type="text" class="style3" id="First name" style="color: #B09A61; background-color: #000000;"></td>

(Style 3 also has the same background colour set!)

I would dearly love to know how to correct this, as its spoiling the page design.

I just visited the site and it appears to have a black background if you're still having issues with it post back..

I can't see the problem either.
I would however point out that the text under "Dark Pebble" at the head of your page is nearly unreadable because of your choice of colour.
