Hello there...

This is my first ever post. Be nice please

This is probably a very basic question for most of you:

How do I go about making a simple image gallery in Dreamweaver 8?

I just want it to have maybe two photos with 'Next' & 'Back' buttons that can go forward/back to another two photos, etc.

Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks so much!

Thats for replying.

That part I have been able to do. However, it displays all of the images as thumbnails on the page. I only want to show two of the images and they press 'next' to go to the next two images, etc.

Am I able to do it so it looks similar to this:

http://signmansays.com.au/content.asp?page=vehicles

Im not bothered about the Flash element with the images, just the way you can go from one photo to the next.

If anyone can help me with this it would be great!

Thanks very much.

Jonathon the site you linked to is using JavaScript to to control how the images are changed in the next and back buttons. Are you familiar with JavaScript at all?

If you view the source code for the page it's all there. You can probably grab their code and modify it a little for your own images. If you want to give it a go have a look at their source code and see if you can understand what they're doing.

I'll be happy to help with any questions you have, but I think you'll get more out of it and a greater understanding of what's going on if you try to work it out yourself.

The site did use DreamWeaver so maybe you can do this completely in DreamWeaver, but I'm not familiar enough with DW to be able to let you know how to create the gallery in DreamWeaver itself.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Since the site you linked to looks like it was created using DreamWeaver maybe someone here knows how to create this kind of gallery in DreamWeaver.
