I don't know if this the best place for this kind of thread.... I'm sorry, but I dont knew where post it...

Well, wich you think is the best server-side log analyzer ?.. I'm using for years AWStats, but I'm lloking for some more deep data....
I was like him because analyze the raw apache logs, no javascript required.

What do you think ?...

Cheers!

Hi there, I have tried multiple ones, and I found that www.statcounter.com works decently to start.

If your looking for more detail then that gives there is always the outrageously priced Web Trends. It was last time I looked anyhow.

I'm using awstats myself, and it's a good start. But it doesn't, say, tell me how many visitors are using IE 6 vs 7. My plan has been to just download the raw logs and import them into SQL Server.

I find phpmyvisites to be the best free statistics. It gives you info on pretty much everything. And the little javascript doesn't force warning messages to pop-up in IE, which is great! Among other things it will tell you visitors screen type (normal or wide) and info about plug-ins. That is also very useful because it helps you to decide whether or not to put Flash or Quick time movies onto your website.
