hello there.
i have a simple question for you so if you can help me or give me an advice, that would be great.
which software solution should i use to build a website like this: www.menashapackaging.com
the problem is that i don't know how to make these three columns and when someone clicks on a link, the images on the right column (the last one) should change.
is this made in fireworks & dreamweaver?
badly, i'm a CSS newbie, too....
can anyone help me with some advices, please?

thanks a lot in advance.

Ok, Fireworks is a graphics program and suitable for making the graphics for a site.
Dreamweaver is just a web page editing/creation TOOL. You really need to learn HTML and CSS from the ground up and code BY HAND until you know it well, then DW can be a great tool to use. Left on it's own and used just in WYSIWYG mode, DW creates some very UGLY code.

The referenced site can be done fairly easily with CSS, including the image rollover. You can find many FREE 3-column CSS-based templates here:

Thanks a lot for the advice.
I know pretty well Dreamweaver, and some HTML, too. I've made some sites already. By the way, please give me your opinion about www.stabila.ro is made by me. I know I'm not very good, but at the previous link you can see my "web-level"

But my problem is not solved yet, so please help me more.
So, that site www.menashapackaging.com is made with CSS? I have to make a site like that with some image rollovers (3-4 columns and one column for the image rollover). Can you give me more advices or more help for making a site somehow like that?
Also, thanks for the openwebdesign.org link.

Robert.

P.S. Thanks again for the prompt response!

The site you mentioned: www.menashapackaging.com appears to have been done in a graphics program then exported for the web. How can you tell? Well the bulk of the page is image slices. Very bad idea. If I were you, I wouldn't use this site for any kind of ideas. Very poor design using depreciated code, and just bad code all together.

NO. It is a table based layout with depreciated html tags. But if you had a basic understanding of html like you should, than a reproducing that layout should be easy. To explain how to do a table layout like that, (which is really down and dirty basic html), is too complicated and time consuming.

If you really want to know how that site was made. Save the page and view it in DW. Get a look at how the code is working. Although this is a poor site design, you answer could be solved by studying an example of what you need.

That web site you've referred to is a tables-based layout, they are only using CSS for styling text and such, not for the layout. A CSS layout would give you more flexibility, but you would need to learn CSS, which is why I pointed you to the free web templates
