i have a table and in one of the cells i have am image which is larger than the cell it is in.

how do i make the cell stay the size i told it too (and not expand to fit the content) and at the same time have the image 'spill' out of the cell???

any help would be very much appreciated.

I said if it is that big, you should just create a thumbnail version and link it to the full version.

You can't. That is the nature of tables, to stretch to fit their content.

Hi,

You can use the width and height on the img tag for example
<table>
<td width=100>
<img='image1.jpg' width=100>
</td>
</table>

By specifiying just the width it will scale the height.

Regards
