I am a very new coder with very little experience with Html and PHP

I have a site that i have been playing with and i want to add a forum to it.

The site link is www.topsites411.com and i have nav menu on the left to navigate the site.

Now my Forum is setup on www.topsites411.com/forum fresh install nothing setup yet on it). I would like to integrate the forum into the site so it would open up inside the same Css table as the Sites do on the topsite list. How could i go about doing this.

Thanks for the help.

Not sure about the answer to your question but I personally think you should get VB as it is much better forum software or users and admins

Good Luck

(Everyone is going to shout at me for saying this....)

I did the same for a site once, and found a phpbb template that was a fixed centre width and then linked to it with an I-Frame.... (please dont shout...)

Not the best answer but only took a few minutes to set up and was quite effective.

*Shouts at Rolda*

Yuck iframes!

PHPBB is pretty easy to customise in the header and footer. Anything inbetween has always been beside the point for me. Site menu on the left? What difference does it make if you take some of the main links to the top?

In the templates folder, in the folder of the template you're using, in PHPBB specifically, there are files called "overall_header.tpl" and "overall_footer.tpl". Modifying these modifies the header and footer, respectively. The other template files are obviously also editable. I would imagine the same applies to most forum software.

Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't care about navigating a site from a forum...

Yes, it would be best off doing it with iframes, but I could code you up a nice and simple forum to fit in with your website..
