my friend has a site and he has to get clicks through his subdomain that he has, but in order to get more traffic he wants to buy a domain.
is there any way to display a website on another site without a redirect to the subdomain?
at http://www.theclassicstruggle.com i know that they had their myspace site show when it still said the above address in the address bar.

any help would be appreciated
thanks,
FS

Depending on his webhost, he should be able to park the domain name on the sub domain web hosting account. Therefore there are no redirected users.

You could use server side programming to basically make your domain a proxy site.

You might be able to accomplish this with a simple php syntax
Code:
<? include("http://yourdomain.com"); ?>
For seo purposes, however, the better way would be to do a 301 permanent redirect

the site that you mentioned ( http://www.theclassicstruggle.com) uses Frameset so the browswer always displays this url and they show the other page as a frame inside this frame set.
I don't recommend this technique because most search engines will only index the frameset page and not the site it calls. Frameset has many other drawbacks.
