I have practically no html or flash experience....
I recently launched a website with go daddy providing the hosting. It contains a few links and banners to websites who provided the html code for me which i simply pasted in. The problem is that my laptop is not able to see these links or banners on the published website, or in the preview panes. I got friends to check the website from their computers and they can see everything fine, but not me on my laptop. (i created the bulk of the website using a computer at work). I have the most up to date flash/shockwave software installed so i'm really confused as to why i can't see the banners on my own laptop.

Are you using IE to view your site ??
Did you use the <embed> tag to put the flash in your pages ??

I scanned through a few of the old threads here and it turns out it was my Norton AV that was preventing me from seeing the banners, when i disabled norton everything appears as it should. But this doesnt explain how everyone else can see the banners on their computers, it'd be hard to assume everyone i know has Norton disabled?

the site is

www.ozpokerpalace.com still very much a work in progress

sorry for the multiple threads, i should really look deeper into this before posting, I'm using IE. When i switched norton back on the banners on my website disappear but if i go to a similar type of website i am able to view all their banners and flashlinks with no problems. I nothing of the workings of norton but is it possible its blocking the content from my website because it was created initially from this laptop?

Not sure why you can't see the flash and banner, but I can, on FF2 and IE7

Code:
<object
classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0"
width="125" height="125">
<param name="movie" value="http://www3.pokerroom.com/pokeraffiliate/img/PR_promo_125x125.swf?clickTAG=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pokerroom.com%2F%3Fref%3D35746" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<embed src="http://www3.pokerroom.com/pokeraffiliate/img/PR_promo_125x125.swf?clickTAG=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pokerroom.com%2F%3Fref%3D35746"
quality="high"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
width="125"
height="125">
</embed>
</object>
Just so nobody else has to scroll through the source. It's all on one line.
