Hi !

I'm having a Height Problem with a Dynamic iFrame i'm using.
This means that not the whole site is displayed in height... but the width is good.

You can see the problem on my friends site:
http://www.mardescha-arabians.nl/

As you can see, it stops around the middle of the page.
Here is how the page should look like:
http://www.mardescha-arabians.nl/index1.html

This script is what i'm using:
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...iframessi2.htm

Could someone please tell me what is wrong ?

Thanks !

I don't see the need for the iframe at all, in fact, I don't even see it on Firefox 2.0 and on IE I get an ActiveX warning to 'activate' whatever it is. This is not good.

One other thing - lose the music. People HATE having music playing when they land on a page - very annoying.

Hi !

Thanks for your reply !

I need this iframe to built in the music to my website.
Or else, the music will re-start everytime you load another page.

And i told my friend this a lot of times (he owns the website) but he keeps saying:
If people don't want to hear my music, they turn their speakers off. I had alot of discussions about this.. So.. Period

And i don't know why there is an active x warning, i get this myself too, and i dont know how to get rid of it..

So, now i have 2 problems:

1. Height Problem with Dynamic iFrame:
How it should be:
http://www.mardescha-arabians.nl/index1.html
How it is (wrong):
http://www.mardescha-arabians.nl

2. Active X warning, i want to get rid of it... i dont have any active x installed on it, only java.

Thanks

The problem with people who insist on playing music on a website is that a LOT of people will be playing THEIR OWN music while they surf around and to have some web designer's music choice come in over MINE is just very annoying. Even more annoying to not be able to TURN IT OFF. So you see, turning down my speakers is NOT an option - my option is to LEAVE the site and never come back - and lots of people will do the same thing.

Basically you're just being rude to your visitors.
The warning from IE is likely coming from your script.

Thanks again for your reply.

You see, what the problem is, is that the website is for a friend of mine andm just maintaining it.
I told him, well over 100 times that music is annoying if you can't turn it off.
He keeps saying: Then they turn their speakers off, period.
I also told him: This will cost you visitors !

Anyway, what could be wrong with the script then ?
I can't figure it out myself...

Thanks !

Well, sad for your friend then.
As for the script, I can't be of much help as I'm not a javascripter - so you might ask the folks in the coding forum here. IE whines when there is any attempt to run active content - could just be the music itself.

I looked at that page again, and I know what the problem is in IE.
In order to put in the MP3, you (or whoever) have used the <embed> tag and THAT is what is causing IE to choke.

At the top of this forum are 2 stickies that tell you how avoid using the <embed> tag completely.
