This was my favorite part:
"Release of Windows 95 and Internet Explorer bring sharp rise in memory sales, profanity use."

LOL -- ohhh; how we did cuss on the floor 24/7 trying to get Windoze95 out the door ... this is also an absolute true statement, which he's managed to accomplish:

"Bill Gates embarks on heroic and lifelong quest to piss off every person in America."

LOL! I predict trouble!

Seriously, I heard there's a new crack for Vista. You can install it in some type of OEM mode, and then someone made a Vista "bios emulation" driver that tricks the OS in thinking it's been activated. System manufacturers ( like Dell ) are allowed to image a Vista system, and then activate it, so the hack mimics that. I'm still running XP, and plan to give it a few months for them to work out all the bugs, and then I'll pay for Vista the same way I've paid for every Microsoft operating system, by buying a new computer that has the OS bundled in the price.

But still this is important (to me anyway) because one of the biggest complains about Vista is DRM out the wazoo. If this crack story is true, and Microsoft can't even digitally protect their own property, Hollywood is going to be miffed!

Quite frankly.. not much !!!
Why would I even want to move to an OS that is nothing but a lame upgrade to XP ?? Then you have all that extra crap they have labeled 'security'.. which is smoke and mirrors for snooping into my machine and shutting down my OS if M$ decides my perfectly LEGIT copy of Windows isn't. Or.. yet another excuse for ripping consumers for $299 .. for what, exactly ??

M$ shovels out a dozen patches (or more) EVERY MONTH for XP.. how much ya wanna bet that Vista gets at LEAST that many too ???

Oh man -- are ya wanting me to get myself banned for saying what I really think of Vista???

I've worked with it less than a week, and can't understand why anyone with one brain-cell would want to "upgrade" ... every MicroStoopid OS always takes 2 - 3 years to "finalize"; especially with 1000's of patches -- do NOT upgrade to Vista for at least another year and a half...

Yeah, do you remember that OS called Windows ME. It dominated the transition into this millenium . Anyways, I've been pondering an OS switch (not to Vista) for my laptop. Daily, I get an error to send for research on my laptop to Microsoft. The funny thing is when I download their fix, the same problem occurs. Any free Linux suggestions?

Take my advice: Do not upgrade to Vista until Vista SP2 is out, that's what I did with XP (I had W2k before) and this worked very good
