Add a subdomain to your server (via the control panel).

What does this have to do with a title?

I think he thinks if you add a subdomain like SOMETHING.SITE.COM and you search it on a search engine it will show up higher up than just SITE.com

Can't we get a bot to automatically convince people that it doesn't work.

Writing the bot is quite simple.

It's the convincing bit that is almost impossible.

a 'whole' domain would be better in search engines i would have thought, and people (usually) think a site which is a subdomain is not professional.

i think you need to learn how to 1) write a title which actually goes with your post!
2) check back and make clear what you were on about.

that is silly. the main domain name will get pr goodness from the subdomains.

unless you want to show up higher for a specific search on your domain name, then i totally agree. but who would search that?
