I like this plug-in where people walk onto a website, called InPerson. See an example at:

I checked into it and it is a little bit pricey. Does anyone know any alternatives to this? How can I get a similar effect?

It's simply a swf aligned to the bottom of the page.. Not a big deal, pretty easy to make yourself.
Only hard part is the actual people..

Find a model and film them in front of a blue or green screen. Follow EDPB's advice above. You could hire a model to do this for rather cheap, put an add in the classifieds or on craigslist and pay like $50/$100 for a couple hours worth of work, you will receive a response promptly at this rate.

My gorgeous wife would be the model (it's for her website). I think Rovion wanted to charge around $1000 for a few thousand hits - I thought there was an alternative.

I guess we just have to find a studio to do a short clip on a green background.

I'll post the result if we do it!

A friend of mine just started working for a similar company. You are able to walk across the whole website.

They are cheaper and you buy the technology and its yours forever. no hits or service fees.
